Market Gearing Up

Within the next few weeks, four additional vendors will be joining the market and bringing vegetables, berries and fruit, dependent on the cooperation of Mother Nature. In the meantime, there's a wonderful selection of products from our six vendors, including fresh baked breads, organic meats, pierogie, herbs, strawberries, baked goods and lettuces. And we have the growing selection of produce to look forward to as we move closer to July. See you on Monday at the market!

Welcome New Vendors!

With the market ready to open in less than a week, I wanted to share how the market is growing. We are pleased to announce that we have 5 new vendors this year, bringing our total to almost a dozen. Please stop by on Monday to help us kick off this year's market and enjoy locally produced honey, organic meats, pierogies, fresh baked goods and a wide variety of locally grown fruits, vegetables, flowers and herbs.

2009 Market Kicks Off on June 1!

This year's market is off to a great start with nine vendors, including several new additions to our growing market, including an organic meat provider and a honey producer. In its second year, the market offers an abundance of quality grown and homebaked items from apricot bars to zucchini and everything in between. Please help us support Tarentum's business community and our local growers.

Vendors Wanted for 2009 Market

Tarentum is currently accepting applications for its 2009 Farmer's Market, held each Monday morning starting in June. After last summer's successful return of the market, organizers hope to expand what was a weekday highlight in the borough with expanded offerings that include organic meats and produce, bedding plants and shrubs, fresh baked goods and a wide array of fruits, herbs, vegetables and flowers.

Vendors must register with the Borough before participation. Please download the registration form. In addition to new vendors, lunchtime musical entertainment is also being sought. Anyone interested should complete an application and include dates available.
